    Little Homeschool

I am sorry this whole premise reminds me of the last 2 seasons of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and this Cherry Quartz that got a lot of attention, is like a student 6 character, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Meanwhile Jasper is pretty much Vegetta. That is going to character I guess, early reformed Vegetta.

    ]Guidance

A cute episode we needed in between these emotionally packed episodes. It might be the weakest of the 4 episodes because it was more comedic, but I liked it.

The vibes I am getting from this episode, Steven has more Diamond tendency than he wants to admit. Which I guess what the plot of this season is going to be, Steven internal war with the memory of Pink Diamond.

    Rose Buds

This episode was straight out weird, but it needed to happen. We meet some real Rose Quartz. And when you think about it, Pink Diamond did frame these specie or race for her own murder.

It is kind of cute how Steven sort of adapts as siblings. Granted weren’t the Crystal Gems sort of siblings too?

    Volleyball

This was the most emotionally draining episode of the 4, and it had such a simple name, you figured it be a sports episode, but boy was the wrong.

Pearl and Pink Pearl bonding and fusing was cool. I love how at the beginning it began like a rivalry from Peal’s perspective at least over who knew Pink Diamond, but in the end they bond and they fuse.

And Steven sorry the whole Pink Diamond is not going away. This episode is early contender for best episode of this season or series if you consider a new series.

I really enjoyed this premiere my favorites being Guidance and Volleyball. Also I notice 3 things
    1. Steven is trying to help everyone and unintentionally making things worse or deciding what best for everyone without really asking them like with Jasper and Pink Pearl and kinda under minding Amethyst decisions unintentionally.
    2. Pink Diamond made the Rose Quartz’s did the episode said who bubbled them? If not then did any of the other diamonds bubble them?
    3. Did anyone notice when Steven went Pink super sayian in Volleyball Pink Pearl’s eye got worst? I’m guessing that probably how Pink Diamond cracked her the 1st time.
I’m calling it Steven is going to learn something that he is acting like Pink Diamond did before she became Rose. Also it’s something that bothers me personally why did Steven name Pink Pearl volleyball? It really rubs me the wrong way that he named her after an object he could of named her Pinkie or something hell she has the hair style he could of called her Leia or some kind of implied Star Wars name.
Overall I really love this premiere and I can’t wait for more

Loved these episodes, and a great discussion!

I will challenge the theory that Greg was abused by Rose, however. I know it’s just an idea, but this suggests that Pink/Rose was incapable of change, which is untrue to the character and to themes of the show. Yes, having a good relationship with Greg doesn’t absolve her of her past, but I don’t think there’s any evidence of it being an abusive relationship.

It is also still unclear on whether or not Pink created the Rose Quartzes before or after her initial transformation. When Pink first came down to Earth and impersonated a Quartz (with Pearl’s design help), the only other quartzes around were Amethysts.
