I actually really liked this episode and I’m more than a little puzzled by your dislike of it. Maybe you need a little more distance from it? It did come right after the best episode of the series. MMB wasn’t really comparable, but it was pretty great. I really hope there’s a sequel to it next season like there was an Interdimensional Cable II. Unlike Interdimensional Cable II, I think Morty’s Mind-Blowers II is actually pretty likely to be an improvement on the original.
Pretty sure the guy chasing them through the Escher drawing was Morpheus from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman.
