I’m geniunely enjoying this show, specially as of late. It’s funny. it has the most absurd plot lines and most importantly it expands on the characters of the girls like it was never done before.
I still have some issues with it, the use of modern things is very hit or miss, it really works sometimes but others it’s just horrid (No me gusta face comes to mind).

About these episodes specifically I like the use of Buttercup in Odd Bubbles Out, with her comments about unicorn magic that no one listens to in the background. Priceless. I don’t know what they were going for with the Donnie narrative, “sometimes your friends will replace you with someone that seems like an upgraded version of yourself but don’t worry they are not real?!?”. I don’t know. I do like that Mojo was behind it, I half expected him to be Chelsea to be honest. I agree that Donnie was a nothing character here. Oh and this is kind of a minor thing but it bothers me how they exageratedly gender non-human background creatures in these very typical ways: like Donnie’s mom with her pink hair and heart shaped nostrils while her boyfriend had blue hair and a stubble, which is ridiculous. And the Yetis on a previous episode, the females having a slightly more pink fur and bows. This is something that Steven Universe flips on its head and here they are just reenforcing it.
Morbucks with her gang and tiger is always good. I enjoyed the little kid who was quietly campaigning and being nice, I could see that they were going for the Morbucks and Blossom getting caught up in competition while this nice kid wins. It was a pretty typical plotline, but it worked.

Thank you for covering this show! I think I would have long stopped watching it without seeing your take on it. It truly is a nice spin on these characters and it’s great for young girls to watch and identify with like you guys always say.

Well I sure like these episodes. I wish they could re program the robot guy and become a new friend, if they can do it on Voltron.

The nice guy candidate he is voiced by the same person that voices Clyde on the Loud House.

They bring back Donnie, yet the Debbie Taunts are still not back. Come on man.

I hope you guys continue the podcast, at least I will support it.
