    I actually feel the secret identity thing is a lot more justified here than in other shows. The villians have been shown to be willing to use leathal force. Emerald and Arkanah still have family that the villians can use as leverage and as shown in the first episode, not even the castle was able to withhold an attack.

    As shown with the astromancers, there is also no way of knowing for certain who they can trust. The best security of storing the dragon disk and the codex is having it in a place no one knows exists.

    Transformation sequences exist to get you hyped up for the upcoming fight. While some are too long they’re still pretty good for the most part.

    This show is like a fusion of RWBY and Miraculous Ladybug and so far better than the sums of its fusion, though what I hear about season 2 of Ladybug has me interested.
