Wow, I thought you were a little over negative.
Qrow’s “what’s your favorite fairy tail” parallels Ozpin’s explanation to Phyrra, emphasising again him taking up the mantle for now and hopefully obviating the need for us to listen through the maiden’s story again.

We’ve seen those airships fly past a few times, I assume Weiss is going to grab one, else why show them. We can’t have everyone on foot.

I thought Tyrion swearing worked for shock on the show and broke through his affable exterior. It’s really hard to think of a non-objectionable word that could work, that is used, that could offend no sensibilities when spoken by a man to a girl.

Appreciated the discussion as always. I’m looking forward to an end of season Haven reunion (Beacon s in Vale btw, Haven in Mistral). I think this whole season will be used to reposition the show from what it was, Hogwarts sort of to what it will be. I’m just not sure what that will be. Hopefully RWBY on some sort of quest. It will be hard to cut free of their entanglements at the moment though.

Yeah that’s a good point, anything explicit Tyrian says to Ruby there will be bad. His word choice was particularly objectionable to me but the bigger story is definitely the show’s atypical use of profanity.

Yeah I wonder if we’ll see this as a transition season, or if we’ll go back to something closer to before, or if we’ll just change things up every season. To me the most important thing is team RWBY being together and staying the focus of the show, whatever context they choose.

The Tyrion and Qrow fight was the first fight that got my heart pumpung since Volume 2. I agree wholeheartedly with a lot of what you said, Schnee stuff was boring, it didn’t add or take away much, it was basically a limbo point for Weiss more than anything else, the Whitley scene was just way out there. The Oscar scene worries me so much though. I don’t know, I get that they are trying to make a more grande, trilogy type story, but the points are so convoluted and a mess that it worries me how they are going to untangle this mess of coils and barbed wires.

Good podcast again and thank you for putting in the work during christmas.

No prob, thx for the comments. Yeah I get what you mean with the Oscar stuff. I hope they just reveal whatever it is in the finale and resolve it but they probably won’t.

I was scared, I thought Qrow was going to die, I was like “no”.

I think Weiss development is before she wanted to be heir for selfish reasons, but now she wants it for the greater good, for others.
