We all thought we are getting a Pink Diamond, we were half right, it was a Diamond arc all right, a Blue Diamond arc.
I love that little surprises, looks like Blue did not agree with Yellow’s Cluster plan, it shows they deal with grief differently. Blue more so with sadness, and Yellow with anger. Makes me wonder how White Diamond would deal with this.
I look at the Diamonds in a whole different light, Blue cried, I didn’t a Diamond was capable of that, heck even Yellow was on the verge of tears during that song. I used the Diamonds were are one dimensional baddies like Fire Lord Ozai, they are more like Korra villains now if I am sticking with the Avatar comparisons.
As for Pink Diamond, the zoo that sounded terrible, I don’t know, sounded like Pink Diamond was more of a over bearing mother, perhaps the zoo is what lead to the disagree with Rose that lead to her shattering. I don’t know.
But I love seeing all those Amethysts, they were cool, and even a couple of Jaspers, I have said to deal with Homeworld, I think we could have found troops we are going to need.
Great episodes, I don’t know where I rank them as bombs
Yeah I agree, I didn’t know the Diamonds were capable of that empathy, but this does match with what we know in that they’re definitely capable of human-like free thought and emotions.
As much as I am starting to like Blue Diamond, heck even Yellow Diamond, let’s not forget the whole corruption, what happened to Centi, they are responsible. Though I always thought White Diamond more so, she was the leader and this was probably her idea, still Blue and Yellow they have to take responsible for their role in that.
Still though I hope maybe we can get Blue on our side one day.
If this Bomb taught us one thing, one person’s idea of act of kindness, is another person’s idea of crualess. Pink’s Yellow, Blue’s reasons for kidnapping Greg, that was the Diamonds act of kindness, but to our heroes was bad. I just love how some thing can have shades of gray to them.
You want to know who is the voice, it is non other than the great Christina Vee, who you guys will know as the voice of Maranette / Ladybug, who I best know for a lot of roles in anime.

The theory going around on Reddit is that Steven cries around BD in some relation to the empathy powers displayed by feeling the Cluster’s pain in S3. I assume that Ross’s guilt over the shattering of PD is evident in Steven and heightens his connection there.
Weird to ship Diamonds, since I always headcanon’d their relationship as sisterly.
That sequence in Adventures in Light Distortion of Steven monologuing while the CGs seemingly retreated into their gems felt very intense to Mr for some reason, like I could feel air in my chest while it was happening.
I really want a Log Date style episode of Peridot, Lapis and Connie “protecting” Beach City.

Oh yeah another point forgetting, Lapis is now officially a Crystal Gem. Taking orders from Garnet, protecting Beach City, I am sorry what more is there to be a Crystal Gem. She is part of the team.
He feels her pain from halfway across the world though! Why specificly her?
And yes! I need the next episode after these 5 to be Peri Lapis and Connie adventures. You could have Connie realizing Steven left without giving her back the library book, so she asks Peri and Lapis for help in getting it back from the temple.
Also, calling this now: the eye thing orbiting around the Zoo is definitely intentional and will be how the Diamonds know the CGs were at the Zoo. So I guess the sooner the security tapes are reviewed and Yellow is alerted, the sooner our YD to earth plot will happen.
Great theory, we will see.
When I heard Yellow Diamond was going to get a song, I was expecting a great villain song like Ursula from Little Mermaid, something you see in a Disney movie, but instead this song makes me want to cry. It is so sad.
So many huge episodes in a row! I’m actually glad that they were all “released” at once, they work better as a movie than a weekly episodic.
