Well Tyrian finally makes a move, I knew Qrow was going to show up, but still didn’t stop my enjoyment.

Well Weiss going on that guy, I thought she over reacted a bit, just shot him down, I didn’t think he said anything offensive like that drunk woman did.

As for Whitley, I thought he was kind of seen in a positive light, maybe that is just me, though I know this is not anime, but he was to pro Weiss in this episode, makes me wonder does he have a thing for Weiss? I know that is not the case, but still.

And I am not the only one who was reminded of Erza’s first coronation when Weiss went off a bit.

And I Tyrian I hat that character type, but he does his job of making us hate him, and normally that character type they don’t last long, so he might die very soon.

    Thanks for the pod.

I’m not quite as upset about the season as a whole. I honestly think they have a very long range plan, so in the long run nearly a season apart won’t seem that long. For now though it is frustrating. Bot Weiss and Yang have moved along enough that they could be coming for the other characters relatively quickly, especially if Weiss can hijack an airship.

I thought there was a bit of tension in the final battle as it was possible Tyrain would abduct Ruby before Qrow got there ( which I did not want), and I enjoyed the lightning Nora interplay. What I didn’t like is that Ruby did not try to use her semblance – which seemed to be her best chance.

The boarbatusk Weiss summoned is from Port’s class in season 1.

    Oh well now for hiatus!

I actually know quite a lot of Ren fans, but even they agree that this chapter was pretty shody in trying to make Ren into a character.

And I think this episode exemplifies how much of a fanfiction writer Miles is. It was just too choppy between scenes for me, though the weiss scenes was markedly better.

And I think the main problem with RWBY, with the majority of RT productions in particular, is their need to have campy humor. I think the reason why they have side characters tagging along with the mains is to facilitate funny dialogue, to keep it a comedy. I think Miles needs to improve as a writer, but I do agree that he has a lot of nice ideas, and that he should learn how to implement them better. But that just doesn’t work when he has to balance weird, out of place humor along with it, and it just doesn’t mesh well.

I think RWBY would improve if they drop the comedy tag altogether. RT has shown they can do with shows liek Day 5, and that they have writers capable of pulling it off, but they just don’t do it.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the seasons up until this point, but now I’m worried. Oh well, to the haitus.
